ORIGIN
It is extracted from highly oxidized and best-quality Leonardite, obtained from the biggest open coal mines in the world, in the German state of Westfalia; with the Bagger 288, the biggest land vehicle in the world.

In these coal mines, geological surveys are done to ensure only the highest quality Leonardite is used. After a patented process of extraction and purification, PowHumus WSG 85 is obtained.
Effects

In sandy soils, it covers sand particles, so that leeching is prevented and fertilizer may remain available to the plant. It enhances soil ability to retain water and reduces its evaporation, and drought related stress.
In clay soils, it separates clay plaques, aereate compact soils and improves their structure. This results in an improved ability of water, nutrients and plant roots to penetrate in the soil.
With this improved soil structure, plant roots can grow more easily and access water, air, and also nutrients that were already there - but unavailable. This results in an improved access to water and fertilizer, which reduces costs while yields may be improved.
Other Benefits

May reduce water evaporation and plant stress related to drought.
May enhance the Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) of the soil.
May stimulate root growth, specially in relation to its longitude, while improving its capacity to exchange gases with the air.
Given that its organic matter and a source of energy, it may stimulate the growth and proliferation of beneficial microorganisms in the soil.
May increase the permeability of the membranes of the plant and improve the speed and incidence of seed germination.
May act as a natural chelator for microelements in alkaline soils and increase their availability for plants.
